A lotta, lotta waiting for an unprepared group
I'd like to let Holywatr know that the parking or Max ride at Zoo concerts may require some time. It is a time commitment I am willing to make, getting in by 4 pm for a 7 pm concert. You wind your way around after the bag and cooler check, searching for the end of the line where you stand until the seating area opens at 5 pm. Unless you arrive well before 4, the lawn is already crowded with people who think they need a 7 x 7 blanket for 3 people. You carefully navigate the edge of bedding to find a spot for your sand chairs. This is all part of the experience. What bothers me is that after the opening act finishes, Holywatr arrives one member at a time and doesn't start playing for another 20 minutes. The diverse lineup is okay, but it appears there was no consideration given to the playlist, with much of the music coming from one album, presumably because Holywatr was unprepared.
I appreciated that Holywatr dedicated some of their time to a group called "Fame," which evidently assists a group of challenged adults and kids. This earns an additional star in my review.
The highlight of the evening was Norman Leyden. Congratulations on earning the other star for him.
